First, let's understand a concept-light decay, what is LED light decay? LED light attenuation means that after a period of time, the light intensity of the LED will be lower than the original light intensity, and the lower part is the light attenuation of the LED.


The life of the LED lamp is determined by the light decay. Generally speaking, the longer it is used, the larger the light decay, and the brightness of the lamp will become darker and darker until it finally does not light up and cannot work normally. There are two causes of light attenuation. One is the light attenuation of the blue LED itself, and the other is the light attenuation of the phosphor. Different LED lamps have different light attenuation. The light decay of an LED is related to its junction temperature. The junction temperature is the temperature of the semiconductor PN junction. Generally speaking, the higher the junction temperature, the earlier the light decay occurs, and the shorter the lamp life.


In order to extend the life of LED lights, the key is to reduce the junction temperature. To reduce the junction temperature, a good heat sink is required. In summary, if you want to make the life of LED lights longer, you must choose a good heat sink. The better effect is the aluminum radiator.
